When people mention Black Lagoon, it is often over the over-the-top action or 'powerful women' Action is there indeed, 'powerful women' is stretch. However, what show is really about is life that did not went well, all three songs of the first two seasons reflect that feel perfectly.
Mell - Red Faction
This opening song feels very aggressive. It is a song of rage against cruelty of the world. However, it also has sad self-pity undertone over live gone wrong.
Do not Look Behind
This is a a very quiet song that nevertheless has a sense of suspense to it. It feels like she is about to just fall under pressure and die. However, it ends rather unpredictably.
Mooki Obata - World of Midnight
Final song, that plays at a special ending for the Romanian Twins ark. It is hopeful that hardships and stupid games of fate will finally end, and one will find happiness.
