Legacy of Kain

Legacy of Kain series were one of my favorite game series back in the days. Sure, I did not play it as often as Warcraft III for example, but I did replay Defiance several times.

I always liked sophisticated story with complex time travel plot, complex conspiracies that often lead to unexpected outcomes in the world.

Later I also grew to appreciate Kain's refined style and manner of speech.

Even before I saw some parallels between me and main characters of the game, Kain and Raziel. I think Kain is a lot like me.

This game deals with complex concepts of fate, free will, trickery and deceit.

No character is truly black and white.

This game is philosophical and very profound.

Here are the walkthroughs of all 5 games of the series:

On Anime Dubs

People who make dubs have poor voices that are unpleasant to hear. Can dub people hire some better VAs to do it.

More people will watch dub if it is done by people with pleasant voices. The voices you actually want to hear. As simple as that.

Look at this cute, adorable babe on this picture. There is no way she should be talking with some metallic voice that sounds like she barks orders or hates you.

Final Good Abridged Show - Hellsing Ultimate Abridged

This show is one of the things that can make me laugh.

and I like to laugh.

That is how you make a good parody/comedy, in best tradition of ZAZ trio.

Some quotes:

If you look deep into your heart, that is currently splattered all over that tree, you will find a way to forgive me.

I do not give a shit, I do not give a fuck

I do not give a shit, I do not give a fuck

If I'd gave a shit, I might give a fuck

but I do not give a shit, so I do not give a fuck.

You know, a real fucking vampire.

With Netflix

The Best and Funniest of the Abridged - Naruto Abridged by MasakoX and Vegeta[some digits]

This is likely the best abridged series I have ever seen.

It has best humor and manages to stay funny for a really long time.

Some of the most iconic jokes, that came from this version:

Garra of the Funk

Mister Puffy Pajama Pants

We will capture this rare Nine Tails [pokemon] and give it to Giovanni.

I represent, truth, justice and Maple Syrup

I am not Orochimaru, I am Steven, Viper

can I kill him now - no - [waits 5 seconds] how about now?

one creepy guy that looks like Michael Jackson - where I am going to get someone like that - Orochimaru shows up, nevermind, check.

I will defeat my brother and that log

Instead of doing the smart thing and killing the damn thing, they instead sealed it in a body of an annoying baby.

I will let you pass, but only if you defeat me in DDR

It inspired many imitations. Alternative abridgements of Naruto, made by different people, do fail in comparison to this one.

It also inspired people to abridged other anime. Some of these turned out not so bad. Code Ment and Hellsing Ultimate Abridged in particularly are nice examples of abridging.

Code Ment - Code Geass Parody

Code Ment begin really funny but lost its fun closer to the end.

Early on each character had clear role that fit them well:
For example Suzaku was dumb as rock
Lelouch was somewhat smart, but sensitive and obsessed with weird shit
Karen was mostly dumb, but not as dumb as Suzaku
CC was average and emotional.
That contrast between Lelouch savvy and everyone else carried the show.

Later the made Lelouch dumb as well and it went downhill from there.
Still it was a good effort. Even MasakoX and Vegeta[some digits] eventually got their Naruto Abridged into dump, despite starting out really great.

How Suzaku Defeated Bismark

Suzaku won because of limitations of Bismark's Geass.

Suzaku made a suicide move against Bismark. A move that will clearly get him killed. Bismark's geass could predict that and Bismark was prepared to kill Suzaku. However once it became obvious that Suzaku is going to die if that continues, the geass Lelouch cast on Suzaku on Kaminejima island ('to live') saved him again and made him suddenly alter his actions. These altered actions Bismark's geass could not predict so Suzaku not only survived but also managed to defeat Bismark.

I think Bismarks geass can only predict people's intentions rather than everything that will happen. Similar to how Mao reads minds. Because Suzaku's intentions were to die, that all Bismark could get in that situation. That was not enough because of that geass command, Lelouch gave to Suzaku on Kaminejima. That saved Suzaku's life many other times.

I would say Bismark's geass works by reading people's intentions. That is he knows in advance what people plan to do and can use counter measures to stop it. However this ability can be mislead if something else will interfere with intentions of people Bismark fighting. In this case Lelouch's geass command 'to live' from Kaminejima island, interfered with Suzaku's actions. Since it was not in Suzaku's intention to suddenly dodge, Bismark could not see this 'future', that gave Suzaku enough of a unforeseen circumstance to kill Bismark.

Early Impression on Eminence in Shadow

The princess girl ark was annoying, but research girl ark is somewhat better. Since research girl is better than princess girl.

This show is such a wasted opportunity. The Shadows harem is the best kind of girls, but stupid side characters get all the screen time.

Maria, The Virgin Witch Review

Overall Rating 7.5 out of 10 - Unusually Good and Unique show.

I recommended watching to everyone.

This show is somewhat special for me in many different ways.

First of all is Maria herself. I can relate and find many parallels between her and me. The way we do things.

In fact, Maria is so relatable to me, I even did not enjoy it when they tortured her, even though normally I do enjoy seeing women tortured and abused.

The causes we fight for are of course different: she wants to end the war and I want to end feminism, austerity and elderly.

However, from there on it is only similarities: She hates the war and interferes to prevent it whenever she can. I hate feminism, austerity and elderly and keep blogging and posting non-stop about these issues.

Maria's contemporaries, church and even angels of god were against her doing all that.

Forum, trolls, moderators and broader society is also opposed and condemn my efforts to end feminism austerity and elderly.

Archangel Michael wanted to take away her powers and forum moderators banned me from posting.

Maria things that church rules are unreasonable and god and angels are useless as they cannot help. humanity.

I too think that feminism and austerity are retarded. I wrote many posts to elaborate why I think this way. I also think that people who defend feminism or austerity are even worse than church zealots from this show. They are nothing but hypocrites.

Both she and I ignore social norms, live secluded hermit life, interact only with few people here and there. Even our taste in all black clothes is the same. I do find her outfit sexy.

However, we both do what we want no matter what anyone says. I am proud of myself for being like that. I can appreciate that Maria does the same.

Maria might not be that much of a waifu material, but I can consider her a colleague of sorts.

With her powers, I will make myself plenty of cute sexy slave maid familiars and then have sex with them all. I totally wish I could do something like that.

Overall, it is very unusual show that encourages viewers look at things from more critical point of view. Here nothing is black and white, there are no traditional villains or heroes. In this show every person and even has its good and bad sides. Show gets out its way to show you that to everything there are two sides of a coin. I like these kinds of shows a lot.

This is one of the shows that can make you smarter.

Also, it does relatively good job at depicting medieval life. There are some errors here and there, particularly with Joseph role, but overall, it is rather solid effort.

Why CC is best in Short

CC is the best minion one can wish for. She can solve pretty much all of your problems, but at the same time she does not want any glory and power for herself.

So, she works only for your benefit.

That and her intelligence, manners, introspective philosophical outlook on life, ability to understand and relate your feelings, kindness and care.

Who can possibly be better, than her?

Analysis of Overlord Ainz Character

He does have various flaws, but none of them are fatal.

In many ways he is driven by self-preservation and desire to keep things and people he considers his.
In the Tinto Brass movie Caligula, Tiberius mentions that he became Emperor so that someone else would not become Emperor and then use this political power to kill Tiberius himself.

That is close to my and Ainz logic.

Remember that flashback scene where his future guild members saved him from some undead exterminators. He and guild members then build a stronghold for themselves, to keep themselves safe.

Ainz needs Nazarik's denizens to prevent other countries from killing or doing other bad things to him.
Because of that I disagree with people who say Ainz does not want to be an Overlord and would rather do something else.

Ainz may be self-aware enough to think that he does things some will consider bad and immoral. However, morals do not hold sway over him. He himself mentioned it when he was killing people who attacked Carne village. he does not feel guilt and discomfort for doing immoral things, so there is no reason for him to not do immoral things.

Personal self-interest is more important for him. Conquering the world will ensure his security a lot better than not conquering it. So, he pursues this path.

In the same view, obedient, subservient and implicitly loyal minions ensure security much better than anything else. After all what else could possibly guarantee your survival than someone you can easily put between you and a problem you have.

I personally would not trust protection of a 'strong person'. Such a person can easily abandon me at their whim or for any other reason they might have. It is foolish to expect someone like this to be constantly available to solve my problems.

Ainz might not be the most stereotypical fit for an Overlord role, that is he is not a stereotypical alpha leader type. However, he will not resign from it. He is not doing if for Nazarik denizens per se.

I would say that in real life leaders like that are more common than some might think. Personality like this ensures continuity, stability and rational decision making: his followers can rely on him staying true to his role as abandoning it will endanger him, he in turn can rely on his minions for protection and support of him and world around him.

I too want an army of loyal minions to throw at various problems that might arise.

With them I will be able to build a stronghold, where everything will be my way.

I want such a stronghold.

A perfect world of my own.

Why I like Tragic Characters Such as Diclonii from Elfer Lied in Anime

SofiaBulga said:

EmperorThor said:

What do you think about that?

Hmm the message while I was watching the anime, came in loud and clear. However IT WAS in fact, the hardships and abuse in their lives that I cared about and how it and they were portrayed. I hadn't seen live-action be this expressive with how it portrays controversy. Anime at the time, Elfen Lied specifically, because it resonated with me more than live-action did, was able to affect me. I'd seen rape, mutilation, and all manner of edgy things in live-action previously and it didn't touch me on the conscious level Elfen Lied managed (made me aware and think about it). I wouldn't go as far as saying, my innocence was stolen, but it resembles the feeling of the first time you feel genuine appreciation for something.

As for the "most of these diconii girls just want to be loved and approved by someone" part. Yeah that came through to me as well, but although I've been watching anime for most of my life, I choose to not dissect in to it, more than I need to, for the sake of entertainment. I don't want to delve to deep beyond a certain layer, like fans that write reviews, critics and people that make it a source of pride, as if I know and understand oh so much. I do occasionally think a little more extensively, when it comes to anime I especially love, but I prefer the surface level entertainment I get.

It resonates better precisely because it is not just fictional monster tearing them apart just because it is a monster, but another basically human being with their own feelings.

I get your point about not trying to dissect it any further. However it is not that simple. You say you do not want to dissect that further, but you still notice it.

I do notice it as well. In fact it is so clear and obvious to me, it is more like 'how could I not notice' rather then dissect further into it.

Now about enjoyment.

In fact in my case it is because these girls are so pitiful that I can so enjoy them. Like them. If they would not be pitiful I would not be able to enjoy them so. I want them to be pitiful for my enjoyment actually.

There is just something about it and it just resonates with me, like say songs of Depeche Mode or Aria(Russian Band).

Plain scary monster story will not necessary be enjoyable to me at all. Say for example I do not like Samurai Champloo or Berserk precisely because they lack that kind relatability and pitiful characters. They do not resonate with my psycho, they conflict with it instead.

Without deep connection to psycho, that just leaves ugly surface that is not enjoyable at all. At least for me.

If it is about surface only, then GuP, Bofuri, Gochiusa and may be K-On! would be my shows of choice. Code Geass, Fate/Zero and Madoka Magica kind of have both good surface and good depth.

However even in these lighter shows I still like characters not only for the surface. Their personality matters, even if it is not a very complex personality it has so be a likable in my eyes personality.

I talk so often about -dere types because they are simple basic personalities that do not require too much thinking to understand or write.

One important note though: it is not a very simple thing as to what I can pity and why. I am not just there to save everyone in need. Only certain things and situations do have appeal to me, sometimes very unconventional. May be only unconventional.

I do not pity disabled, elderly, mothers with children and such. On the contrary even.

Another thing is that I do not help or care much. She has to be able to survive on her own, the most she can expect from me is sympathy. Patting her head, looking on her teary face and hugging her. Well sex as well, I am into them after all.

May be I just like depressed and/or innocent(naïve) girls or something like that. May be girls that are unfairly in my eyes mistreated and abused by others.

One final thing: there is probably another reason. I kind of like to get to the bottom of things. 'I like knowing things.' As Gregory House would put it. That is how I am. Just my own obsession with digging into stuff. I do this almost not intentionally. My brain just keeps digging into it on its own and does not stop until I get the answer that satisfies me.

Why I Can Relate to Lelouch

Lelouch is about as complex as I am. I can relate to both what he is doing and how he is doing it.

I want to have the same Geass power that he has, I feel that is what is lacking in my life, what has always lacked in it. The power to make things go my way.

I think I will do the same thing if I get the chance, I mean revolution and world conquest thing of course. There are perhaps even some parallels between his life and mine, well not straightforward ones of course.

I am as intelligent as he is, not as physicality strong as he is. I even got in problems with Uni in Russia for playing chess twice.

Just like him, I do not want any system to control me or use me. I felt very oppressed by my parents in the past and still hold grunge against them. Because of that I mostly hate older generations compare to my own.

I think the world is unfair and want to change that. Various social ills such as austerity, feminism and oppressive hierarchies make world a sick place to live. Richness of some and misery of the others is bane of this era. Those retirement home boomers are like Britannian nobles who bleed the rest of the society dry for their stupid retirement.

I want to change that, I want to be happy, rich and free. I also want to make world freer, happier and richer place. Perhaps s gentler world as Nunally said in the beginning of the show.

Basic Shorthand on -dere types

People seem to misuse -dere terms a lot. With are confusingly used for several different types of girls. With others original idea gradual shirted to something different.

if she complains and criticizes, she is tsundere

if she is quiet and shy, she is dandere

if she is neutral, calm reserved and objective then she is kuudere

if she tries to lead and just does whatever she wants she is yandere

If she is just nice cozy and caring girl she is dere-dere

Sad in A Good Way Anime Songs

There is some music that is sad in a good way. The kind of sad but also supportive. Something that can make you hopeful and mourn with you.

When you are sad, listening to a happy song can feel like everyone is partying without paying heed to your troubles. In contrast a good sad song makes you feel that singer understands you and feels your problems/sadness and so on.

That is why it is important to listen to a good sad song when you are sad.

Wind - Naruto

To begin with something relatively light. This is the original ending song for Naruto anime. It has lots of sadness that reflect well on issues Naruto and Sasuke face in their lives. However, it also has a feel that it will be alright somehow.

Elfen Lied - Lilium

Of course, the mother of all sad anime, Elfen Lied, has to be here as well. It is about poor girls with protrusions on their heads, who are abused because they look and act different. The song reflects on hardships of their lives and hope for better future.

Gintama

Gintama is normally not a sad anime at all. Most of the time it is very upbeat. However, at times author does cover some said life disillusionment themes. As if he hides his own cynicism and disillusionment behind facade of insane comedy of Gintama.

Some openings fully reflect this. Like this one, called Donten:

Steins;Gate - Hacking to the Gate

It is energetic and sad at the same time. As if pushing for your dreams against the treacherous world.

Umineko no Naku Koro ni has most of the great sad songs. I made a separate article just about sad songs from that visual novel. The rest of them are in this one.

Jigoku Shoujo will also deserve its own separate article.

Anime and Wish Fulfilment

Modern animators often underestimate importance of good story and plot.

In the end of the day even if you watch just for visuals without subtitles and with Japanese or even more obscure language audio to not be able to understand anything, you will still likely catch the basic idea of the show.

I will not watch femdom or anything else I do not like, no matter how well drawn and animated it is.

On the other had I will watch maledom and femsub even if it is poorly animated. (see DearS)

In real world I will not care how beautiful is a girl if she does not obey me. However, I will date even mediocre looking submissive girl, if she is timid, shy, introverted, and submissive enough to my tastes.

So, animation is secondary to main idea of the show.

In fact, even story and plot can be secondary if idea of the show appeals to me.

For example, Overlord has poor plot to non-existent plot, but I like idea of being as powerful and universally worshipped as Ainz so I watch and enjoy it, regardless of plot.

Wish fulfilment galore.

Why fiction wins.

Here some Dilbert relevant to the issue

https://dilbert.com/strip/2023-01-02

https://dilbert.com/strip/2023-01-03

https://dilbert.com/strip/2023-01-04

It is only natural that men would prefer anime girl over someone like Tina in the 3rd pic for example. Not based on the looks, it is a cartoon. Based on what she says, Dogbert then correctly assess her value. Actually, he totally overvalues her: why any self-respecting hobo would date this arrogant snob.

Then men who approach problem like Dilbert in the second pic also have no way to win.

Thus, we both watch anime.

Because of IRL people's personality flaws, people end up preferring fictional characters who do not have these issues. After all people who created these characters do know what either men or women want in a partner and just making more and more of that. People like them more than real people with their flaws and such, so dream factory keeps making anime.

Then when comparing IRL people to chars you often see their shortcomings and do not want and IRL girl with her problems and flaws.

And to make things even worse. Anime is gender segregated. Shoujo/Josei is to female tastes and Shonen/Seinen to male.

And of course, focus of josei is not making likable female characters at all. Women interested in men so josei authors instead they make handsome over the top unrealistic men who appeal to female audience. They do pair this guy with a female char so as t write a 'relationship' 'dynamic' between them. However, it is not a realistic pairing that will ever work IRL. Dude like him, even if he exists will never go a for a girl like her.

I think wester romance or romantic comedy movies do work the same way. I did not watch enough of them to really tell.

Across the gender divide in Seinen we instead have, K-ON!, GuP, Boruri and Gochiusa full of girls to men's liking. Here we often do not have male protagonist at all because guys would rather have their girl virgin and engage in hobbies in all female company, while waiting only for them. I am guy so I can tell you this much.

They do not even try to make a show with characters that can appeal to both genders. Do not think that any romance anime actually depicts realistic romantic relationship between genders.

However, if you do want to understand what and how someone of the opposite gender thinks. If I you want to understand the opposite gender, you should watch shows of their gender until you get it. That is if they still label shows correctly.

More on Lelouch vi Britannia

There was a lot to think in this situation. How to get off the island. How that battle went. Where are Black Knights now.

Maybe he was wondering if he still loves her.

Well ultimately, he probably decided to not get her involved in the whole thing. He was like that at that stage of his life.

Well, he can try to make her join him, but that would just endanger her without brining much to him or Black Knights in terms of firepower. Actually, it would be harder to explain other members why Britannian princess joined them.

Theoretically he could try to use her as an inside spy within Britannia itself. Lelouch as he matured by the end of second season would have done it. However, at that stage he was still too young to do something so far-fetched with a girl he once loved.

Also, he had not Deithard with him at that time to suggest something like that.

He grows progressively more heartless and utilitarian as series progresses. From being depressed and doubting his cause because its killed Shirley's dad and got her sad. To geassing Nunnally and putting them all in chains for Zero's Requiem.

He himself said that if emotions get in the way he will just get rid of them just before first battle of Tokyo.

And ever since Black Knights betrayed him is kind of became whatever works. Suzaku also became like that just before Schneizel's coup d'etat.

Events then teamed Lelouch up with Suzaku and he became Emperor.

By that time, he became Emperor, he believed in nothing but power of his geass and power of his intelligence.

From then on, he was using this power to shape the world the way he sees fit, and people truly became nothing but pawns for him.

He then faked his death to not take any responsibly for brutalities he caused in the process. A lot of people hated him by that point, and he could fear assassinations and such. So, disappearing in such cunning way was a smart move.

I myself grew up mentally in much the same way. That is why I can relate to Code Geass so strongly. In what other story you can find a character even remotely close to Lelouch.

On Shirley and other Girls of Code Geass

I kind of like Shirley more than Kallen, mostly because of what she said to him just before she died. But she is still far from CC.

However, problem with her is that ultimately, she is kind of tries to drag him back to just being normal ordinary man. It is a kind of contradiction in a way: she likes him probably because he is so different yet want to change that about him.

Generally, I do not like girls who try to fix me or change me in any way.

Kallen only likes Zero the miracle maker and hates more dark and controversial aspects of Lelouch personality. Hates his 'flaws.'

Shirley while accepts his flaws, still wants him to change.

And only CC can handle it all. She can live with his worst qualities and be nice and supportive at his worst moments.

That is why it is only CC.

Those who can't be nice to me at my worst moments do not deserve me at my best.

Simple Explanation of Umineko Metaworld

Umineko is deep and profound anime. Even if it is hard to understand, it has a lot to tell you. Even if you do not get it, it actually gets you very well.

I can eve joke here that in Soviet Russia VN understands you.

You probably heard of Metaworld where Beato and Battler fight each other with Red and Blue truth.

But what is metaworld? The mysterious metaworld is actually simple parlour where Beato tell her story to Battler, Lambda and Bern Maebara, Satoko and Rika.

Stuff that happens on the island is made up by Beato. She tells her friends her cryptic story.

When story gets really weird with all that magic and stuff, Battler, on behalf of equally puzzled and concerned audience, stands up to ask Beato 'what the fuck is this shit'? Author clearly knew you would get questions like that at that point of the story. He preempts them.

Beato argues back that it is her story and she can tell it this way it makes sense, he is just too dumb to understand. Battler often not convinced and keeps complaining.

Eventually Beato introduced Red and Blue truth so that she could address all of Battler complains and keep him engaged with the story.

Beato retells her story 4 times, trying to win over Battler but to no avail. He end up impaling her on the red truth and killing her just to prove that witches do not exist. <I will pull Fetherine here and finish that one later, I am too sleepy>

After that Battler get sad that with the Death of Beato, story ended. Eventually Lambda takes it upon herself to tell him another story. By now it is no longer the original story but more of a fanfiction by one of the fans. Lambda's story was ep 5

For episode 6 Battler himself takes the role of story teller. Then Bern for ep 7

From there on it already drifted into heavy head-canon territory. Beato looks like Clare in ep 7 to hint you that Bern is as evil storyteller as people who made Madoka Magica Rebellion movie and her story is as canon as the Rebellion.

Then Battler took it upon himself to make another head canon out of ep 8, In ep 8 Ange occasionally asks him WTF, just like he used to do to Beato back in the original episodes. Battler acknowledges that it is head-canon but adds that it is his wish to tell story like that.

My Reasons to Like and Not Like Anime

There could be many reasons, too hard to list them all.

I think only Code Geass can appeal to them all, hence it is the only anime that gets 10/10

Likable - something I enjoy watching because it is cute and likable world and characters (Holy quad of GuP, Gochiusa, Bofuri, K-On!)

Smart - something that appeals to my intellectual side, talks about ideas that interest me (Kaiji, SEL, GitS, Planetes, Umineko, Mugen no Ryvius, Utena, Mawary Penguindrum) (my symbolism stack)

Dark Justice - something that satisfies my sense justice or allows me to see someone I hate die or suffer (Jigoku Shoujo)

Other dark emotions - I can't kill people IRL so I might as well indulge this side of me with anime and video games. I might want a gun and a 'License to Kill' like 007 James Bond or Luciano from Code Geass. (Fate/Zero, Madoka Magica, Black Lagoon, Dolls Frontline)

Just likable girls - I have peculiar taste in women so many here would not be what other would find likable. I like seeing girls suffer, I like when they endure suffering and sacrifice for me. (stuff from likable, but also 5 Centimeters per Second, Another, DearS, El Cazador de la Bruja, Hand Maid May, Dolls Frontline, Darker then Black Gaiden, Madoka Magica, Claymore, some hentai , DearS, Bondage Game, Himekishi Lilia)

Appeals to ego (Code Geass fits almost all other categories but especially here. Also Overlord, to some extend Fate/Zero)

High Stakes Epic Battles (Fate/Zero, Naruto as well as Shippuden, to some extend Madoka Magica, Claymore, GuP, Kaiji, Black Lagoon, may be Hellsing, Dolls Frontline, Beatless)

Curiosity - something that is complex enough to make me want to find out more. Often eerie. Often visually pleasing as well. Interesting art style. (Sora no Woto, Shiki, Gargantua, Mushishi, Makoto Shikai movies, some Hayayo Miazaki)

Funny - my kind of comedy that I find funny and hilarious (Second holy trinity/quad of Gintama, Nichijou, Excel Saga and Puni Puni Poemi. Zucker Brother's stuff from Hollywood as well)

Good plot - (Fate/Zero, Madoka Magica, Naruto and Shippuden, Gargantua, Claymore, GuP)

Relatable - could be a mix of many other stuff. (Code Geass, Black Lagoon, Fate/Zero, Hand Maid May, Vlad Love (I am failing at vampiring as Mai, TT, I am not a girl though))

There are probably more than that but so far I will leave it at that.

My Ten Points on various Code Geass topics

1 - there are some independent countries, but most are under these three.

I think EU is voluntary union just like IRL EU.

HBE on the other hand conquered and subjugated their colonies by force. These people lost to the conquerors and left with no strength to resist further. Sometimes rebellions happen in various colonies, but they are suppressed by force. (See Russia, Belarus, Syria and Libya as example) Really strong rebellions only possible if someone like Zero will appear, someone they can believe can win against HBE.

Chinese Federation I think works on some Asian logic of respect to bigness of China or something like that.

2 - To take sakuradite, Japan has a lot of it. May be for thought elevators as well, but everything related to geass is top secret there.

3 - Charles did not sent CC to Japan, she ran away because she changed her mind about his plan. She than changed her mind again and then again. Woman thing to do.

Charles did not wish to protect them, he lied to Lelouch over in C world. He sent them to Japan to lull Japan into thinking he is not planning to invade them: because I will not start a war and endanger my children logic. Japan bought it and was unprepared for the invasion.

Alternatively yo might say he wanted to protect them from VV who killed Marianne. However Marianne joked to CC that she is not that good of a mother. So I take Charles lied about protecting them.

4 - After China collapsed, leftover states were afraid that HBE will simply invade them, conquer them and turn them into their colonies. HBE actually started doing just that.

Lelouch and Black Knights were the only reasonable organized force they could rely on to protect themselves. Therefore it was more or less up to Lelouch to make any terms he wished from their on.

After Lelouch defeated Schneilzel, he made HBE join the UFN as well. Then he bullied other countries to join as well, turning UFN into a world government and unifying the world under his rule by force. Shortly before Suzaku as Zero kills him, they announce his titles as Holy Britannian Emperor, Chairman of UFN as well as CEO of Black Knights. Now that all countries are absorbed into UFN and their militaries are dissolved and absorbed into Black Knights, it would be next to impossible for anyone to rebel or secede.

5 - Sentinel logic: I explained it here https://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=2062645#msg68458284

6 - Did not thought of it straightaway. Had emotional distaste for everything Britannian, so did not want to achieve his goals this way. Security in Britannia is tight, so it risky to just go there with Geass alone, if something goes wrong then you are in big trouble. Once you are in there is no way out, no fail save like with Zero, who wears mask and can abandon it and pretend nothing happen.

Also Emperor and some of his inner circle do know about Geass, that only increases chances that he will be caught and stopped somewhere in the middle of it all.

At the end of second season Suzaku as Knight of 7 used his security clearance to let Lelouch thorough all sorts of security checks unchecked.

7 - He forced all countries to join UFN and abolish their independent militaries so that they will never be able to be independent again. Kill everyone who disagreed with him or opposed this in any way. UFN became world government but everyone hated how it was done a gunpoint by force.

8 - No, most of the world would think that new and old Zero are one and the same. Suzaku is also officially dead, so he will not be able to abandon mask of Zero, everyone was told Suzaku, Knight of Zero died in battle with Schneizel.

Schneizel did not announced it because it would damage Britannia. If would embarrass Britannia and make it look weak if one of Emperor's children not only started a rebellion but gave all them so much trouble. Other countries might want to exploit this family feud and try play other members of royal family.

9 - Dd not thought that Lelouch would land on Damocles. He did not know that Lelouch need direct eye contact for his Geass to work. He is smart but can't read minds like Mao.

10 - Because by that point everyone hated him and Zuzaku so much, there would be constant uprisings and discontent if both of them alive. So change of head to a pitiful cute crippled girl would allow new government to restore its image. It is just like with new president in democracy, people are willing to give him fresh look and new judgement even if they condemn his predecessor. Nunnally will of course announce that things will be different, better and nicer from their on.

Do not forget while both Lelouch and Suzaku are officially dead as far as world concerned. Both of them are actually alive.

And Lelouch has Code of Immortality, he will always watch over the world he created from the shadows, like god.

On sentinel mentality:

People who criticize it have sentinel/guardian morality.

Basically they think like Suzaku: any system is good, rebellion bad, war bad. Save lives, do not question authority. Lelouch is murderer, but Britannian Government can kill because it is government.

Lelouch on the other hand is hero of the analysts as well as possibly diplomats.

Check you MBTI to see if I am right here. Analysts are xNTx, diplomats xNFx and sentinels are xSxJ

We analysts think like Lelouch and agree with him, they oppose us. It becomes an IRL clash of values almost as depicted in Code Geass itself.

From A Reddit Debate on Code Geass

>> symbol denotes a quote from another person.

Without are my responses.

>>Why did the code activate too soon on Lelouch, before his death as you claimed?

It activated between Suzaku piercing him with a blade and and him resting down there 'dead' when Nunnally touches him. All during Zero Requiem. What further difference it will make.

>>Why did Lelouch's sent memories to Nunnally violate everything what C.C. said about code visions (memories of the receiver, shock images, etc)?

Elaborate further

>>Why is Charles the biggest idiot in the show by throwing away his victory on the off chance that Lelouch, contrary to his own wishes, would geass him to die?

I already said, Charles wanted a chance to use his Geass on Lelouch again. He had Code of Immortality to fall back if that does not work and it would be Lelouch who would Geass him.

>>Why would C.C. try to persuade Lelouch to not do the Zero Requiem if he already had a dormant code and thus his fate was already set in stone, Zero Requiem or no Zero Requiem?

I already said. Lelouch would lose his Geass when Code activates. That could mean problems. When CC lost her Geass, people who used to love her under the effect of her Geass, stopped loving her and tried to kill her many times.

>>Why would C.C. tell the audience that Lelouch is dead?

Version difference. It is not in TV version, only in recap movies. Many other stuff you claim can also be only in DVD version. While what I claim is only in TV version. Download Code Geass Hangyaku no Lelouch R2 somewhere and check yourself.

>>Why would every member of the writing team lie to the audience for 15 years?

Every? I do not read interviews and such. However I know one name Gorou Taniguchi. Did he said anything as well.

>>Why would the anime break its own theme of crime and punishment and “The only ones who should kill, are those who are prepared to be killed.” in the final episode?

That is only your interpretation. DVD version reframed it.

>>Why would Nunnally, who has been shown to be able to sense the truth by touching someone's hand, cry when she felt that Lelouch was actually not dead but immortal?

Nunnally is not psychic. She can tell if person talking to her tells lie or truth but that is about it. She cannot tell any further truth. Lelouch did not said anything to her in that final scene so Nunnally could not tell much. Instead Nunnally saw Lelouch memories, just like when Lelouch saw CC memries during Battle of Narita.

>>Why would C.C. cry when she finally gets an immortal buddy, especially since she no longer viewed immortality as a curse?

Her own experience with immortality was not that happy. in episode 15 she said she wanted to die. However Code carrier cannot die freely. Lelouch too would not be able to die easily if he later changes his mind.

>>Why would Lelouch make Suzaku (a mortal) Zero to guard the peace if he can do that better by being an immortal anime batman?

He is hardly Batman from physical power perspective. After Zero Requiem he no longer has Geass. Also Suzaku wanted revenge for Euphy. So Lelouch tricked Suzaku. He did not told him that he plans to survive Zero Requiem. I think Suzaku would not agree to cooperate with Lelouch plan otherwise.

Suzaku and others all think that Lelouch is dead. Suzaku had to kill Lelouch with his own hands to believe that Lelouch is dead.

Also legally Speaking Suzaku Kururugi, Knight of Zero is dead. They showed his grave in Zero Requiem in TV version at least. Only that cat, Arthur, was there to mourn him. So no one knows that new Zero is actually Suzaku. Does that hint to something else instead.

>>Why would Lelouch geass Schneizel with "you shall obey Zero" instead of his regular "be my slave" of the last few episodes if he's not going to die anyway?

Because he already had Zero Requiem planned. He planned to leave Suzaku in charge as Zero. So he needed Schneizel to obey that new Zero as well, not just Emperor Lelouch.

If Schneizel will not recognize this new Zero he could start an uprising. He is smart enough to figure out that new Zero is a different person.

Without that Lelouch could not just leave things on their own.

--- One final thing. Who knows that Lelouch is alive. ---

I say he only told that to CC and may be Sayako and Jeremiah.

He would not tell that Suzaku or anyone else.

However he might even keep it secret from everyone.

CC eventually found out for sure. Sayako and Jeremiah could be in the dark.

On Nunnally

Nunnally was mislead by Schneizel. She is very young and can easily fall prey for lies of someone so intelligent as Schneizel.

Schneizel easily framed the situation in a way that made her see Lelouch as some literal devil and Schneizel as a savior of the world.

He probably told her that life under control of Lelouch geass is much more misreable that life in fear of Fleija attack from Damocles.

Lelouch Geass does not work this way, but Schneizel can still say (lie) that it does to create a compelling narrative that frames Lelouch as a literal devil.

Schneizel used that misleading narrative that to Convince the entirety of Black Knights to betray Lelouch. The way he decribed geass to them is actually only partially correct. Using the same description to convince a little, blind, crippled girl would not be too hard.

Cornelia had issue with Schneizel telling Nunnally that people of Pendragon survived the attack, which was a lie. Schneizel opted to silence Cornelia so that Nunnally would not learn the truth.

Why did Schneizel lied? To make Nunnally believe that he is not the kind of evil guy who would kill all the people of the capital in a Fleija attack. If she knew that people died, she might have not supported him there.

Blaming Nunnally here is like blaming a person for being too stupid to give money to hackers in a phishing attack.

Tamaki from Code Geass

I am sympathetic to Tamaki because he is like me when I am at my worst.

Well, my analytical abilities are always higher than his.

He has little talents and abilities but still his judgement is often on point. He has survival instinct and healthy skepticism. He did not trust Zero initially but became very loyal when Zero proven himself during battle for Narita.

He is smart enough to understand that joining Black Knights is the way forward, way into the future.

System cannot promote or reward him sufficiently. It views people like him as undeserving of better/finer things in life. He in turn views the system as an enemy and ready to destroy it if that will get him these finer things in life. I say it is a very sound judgement.

Tamaki wants to get higher in life, Black Knights is the way forward. Also, he is not the kind of guy who is content with small stuff. He has ambitions and he pursues them.

I can relate to this kind of ambitiousness of his.

Anime Characters I hate

There are a lot of them.

Half of Guilty Crown cast is like that. Actually more than half, more like nearly all of them

In fact, most characters there does not have any redeeming qualities about them at all.

I pity male MC Shuu for having to deal with any of them.

He is probably the only one I do not hate there, though I do not particularly like him either. He should have forgotten about Inori, moved on and refused to interact with Undertaker on their terms. It was clear enough she is into Guy and not him.

I also hate Lil Mayer from Ergo Proxy. In fact, all femal cast there up to episode 5 is as bad as in Guilty Crown. I dropped it after episode 5 even though technological future theme overall does interest me.

I also hate Sohara and Mikako from Sora no Otoshimono, I dropped it because of two of them even though I like Ikaros a lot, she is one of my favorite waifus.

Ibara from Hyouka, Kikuri from Jigoku Shoujo, Lizzie from Black Butler, Yumina from Isekai with Smartphone, twin tails from Another, Flay from Gundam SEED there are too many of them.

see the list of waifus I trashed here https://mywaifulist.moe/user/119935 (you have to click on trashed tab as it does not link directly)

They all suck.

That is probably not all the waifus I hate since I likely forgot many of them. For example, from Monster Girl encyclopedia I only picked likes and did not trash anyone, however if I start trashing monster girls from the encyclopedia then my trash list will exceed my likes list.

Then there is also lots of anime I did not watch. Some I am not aware of and others I do not want to watch. They too probably have many trashable waifus.

In fact, I think that I can like a girl if there is nothing to hate about her. Nothing that I hate about her that is.

How I Judge Anime

Three four-pronged system, it has to be at least on the three below. I want to have balance of these things.

1. Intellectual and insightful, makes me feel smarter after watching it

2. Piques curiosity, something outlandish and esoteric

3. Cute waifus, the kind that appeal to my taste in waifus

4. Appeal to my pride or wounded feelings

That is probably not enough either.

Anyhow it is somewhat strange that most of you just watch your anime for one single reason.

For me one single reason is not enough. I can like some completely different shows: say Gochiusa appeals to #3 and Utena to #1, Utena does not appeal to #3. That is how ti works for me.

What is Deconstruction and What Shows Do and Do not Do It

Deconstruct means take apart into parts and explain how it all works together.

Madoka Magica does not do that.

Puni Puni Poemy however does deconstructs the genre and does it well enough. Leave it to Nabeshin.

To sum it up: Magical girl genre works because it is basically subtle softcore porn.

However few can really understand such complex ideas as taking the genre apart and explaining it to viewers.

We also have a deconstruction of love; it is called Revolutionary Girl Utena. However, love is a more complex concept, so Utena has more episodes. Also, it is easy to get lost in this show by being misled. I wrote several blog posts about that to explain it further.

Some Anime Couples That I like Together

Lelouch and CC

Takaki and Akari - Byosoku 5cm

Takeya and Rin - DearS

Saotome and May - Hand Maid May

Hei and Yin - Darker than Black

Guise and Henrietta - Gunslinger Girl

Nagato and Konan - Naruto Shippuden

Tsukasa and Subaru - .hack//Sign

Yukinari and Miharu (may be) - Girls Bravo

Though I would rather pair her with someone more like me

Some non-canon couples from the same show:

Gilgamesh and Sakura Matou - Fate

Sasuke and Hinata - Naruto

Kouji Aiba and Neeya - Infinite Ryvius

Takasugi and Blu-reiko - Gintama

Okita Sougo and Urara - Gintama

If we remove same show limit I can just pair everyone with Lelouch, Gilgamesh or any other character relatable to me.

Anyhow this couple thinking is just too limiting.

Why do you need actual couple on screen?

The way I see it is that you see a cute girl and imagine her to be in a relationship with yourself.

That is how I built my waifu harem.

Its not like they need relationship experience with someone else first. In fact it is even better if they do not have any.

On the other hand, you can see how she goes in her daily life and can imagine what she can be like in a relationship.

On CC's and other waifus' Loyalty

Not sure if it would be with a character whom I hate and cannot relate to. That will make me unhappy. However, I will not take a waifu who is with a character I hate.

However, all my waifus are either alone or with characters who are like me. For example, when Lelouch does it with CC it is like me doing it with CC as I can see myself in him. However, she probably would not be my waifu if she eloped with Charles for example, that is if she stayed with him for good. Surely during the various incidents, she done this or that, but situation called for it. It was not due to her disloyalty to Lelouch or preference for other men, but rather because unique circumstances.

Mao threatened to expose to Britannians that Lelouch is Zero unless CC comes back to him. She had to pretend she is playing along with Mao: If she told Lelouch she is actually planning to kill Mao, Mao would be able to learn about it with his geass. Because Mao's geass allows him to read all other people's thoughts with exception of CC or other Code carriers like VV. So CC and Lelouch had to outsmart Mao, so she told Lelouch she is breaking up with him and will retorn to Mao. That put Mao at ease and he simply waited for CC to come back to him, not expecting any foul play. Of course when she 'returned' to him she actually tried to kill him. Also while Mao was distracted, Lelouch could orchestrate his move against him.

Charles situation was connected to geass. CC was giving away geass to people so that eventually one of them will develop their geass to the level where they can take over her Code of Immortality. CC wanted to give her code of Immortality to someone and then die. Just like that nun who gave CC her geass in the flashback. Eventually when CC's geass reached certain level of power, nun pushed her Code of Immortality into CC and then killed herself.

After her long-life CC too wished to die, however her code of immortality prevented her from dying a natural death or killing herself. So, she had to find someone who can take this Code of Immortality off her. Only people with geass developed to a certain degree can take over Code of Immortality. Thus, CC had to offer various people a contract with her, give them geass and then wait until they will be able to take over the Code of Immortality.

Sounds simple, but that was not so. Marianne died without fulfilling the contract, Mao has gone insane too early and she abandoned him, Lelouch too have not reached the point where he could took over the Code of Immortality. However by episode 15 Charles had geass at the stage where he could take over Code of Immortality and Lelouch still did not have it at that stage. She offered him to take her Code of Immortality and kill her, but he kind of refused, thus she turned to Charles who was chill with this.

However, Lelouch eventually made her reconsider and stay with him, so she refused her Code of Immortality to Charles, wrecked up his temple and fled with Lelouch. Yes another win for a great strategist.

CC backstory probably requires a separate explanation.

Why I am sympathetic to 1st season Kaiji only

I can be very sympathetic to characters like Kaiji (1st season only) who are trolled by life. They do things expecting to win and walk away with money, glory and victory, but things do not go their way because of circumstances or their own miscalculations.

Kaiji expected Furuhata and Andou to not betray him, but they betrayed him. He expected Tonegawa to cash out these bills when he walked on that beam, but Tonegawa did not. He wanted to destroy the device on his ear to prevent Tonegawa from cheating in E-card and win but ended up cutting off his ear. He expected to beat Hyodou in the last lottery game he himself designed but lost instead.

In contrast in second season her does stupid things knowing full well it will turn out badly. That ruins the show for me.

Specualtion on Natal Chart of Lelouch

He is not a Scorp not a Scorp Sun that is for sure.

Scorp Sun and Moon people do not have such lofty ambitions as to conquer the world.

He can have some other planets in Scorp like Mercury, Mars and Venus, but not Sun or Moon

I too have Mercury, Venus and Pluto in Scorp.

Sagittarius fits him rather well. Alternatively, he could be Libra or Aqua. Though with Aqua he will not be able to have Merc in Scorp

Sag or Libra Sun, Cancer Moon, Scorpio Merc, Mars and Pluto. That is my take on him.

Examples of Anime that Makes me Happy

Gochiusa - cute girls make cute coffee and sweets. Then they serve it to you in a cute way while also being so cute and adorable. I want to be surrounded by their cuteness.

Girls und Panzer - cute girls but they also do their duty, handle difficult tanks and win battles against all odds. They are both cute and able to endure hardships and achieve results.

Another - I like the idea of non-existent girl from Another. It is like she exists for me alone. I want my girl to exist only for me alone.

About Gilgamesh

Both I and Gilgamesh are wise, just, eloquent and refined Kings.

Gilgamesh is capable of both cruelty and mercy. He killed his master Tohsaka Tokiyomi for using command spell to stop his fight with Berserker and for planning to use another one to make Gilgamesh to commit suicide for the sake of his 'search for root' cause. However he also spared life of Velvet Waiver as he found his loyalty to Iskandar commendable. He would have no reasons to kill weebs.

He is also capable of cunning and shrewdness as well as psychoanalysis. He psychoanalyzed Kotomine Kirei and found what kind of pleasure from life he desired.

Then he convinced Kirei to kill Tokiyomi and take over as his master.

Gilgamesh is well respected as King by various people in F/Z, including Iskandar who as the same time refused the same dignity to Saber.

Surely Gilgamesh is not your stereotypical good guy, however world is not run on your good vs bad (black and white) morality. All that 'good' you speak of s nothing more than naïve misunderstanding of how world really is. The world is cruel and Gilgamesh simply adapted to function in this reality.

I myself seen a fair share of cruelty, unfairness and sadness in the world and that shaped me towards a man who prioritizes my own happiness and protection above some moralistic nonsense, people like my parents and other Christians like to preach.

I do not want a life of a saint, who suffers for the causes of my parents or Christian Church or progressive SJW.

My justice is of different kind.

Unlimited Fafnir Review

Overall Rating - 7.0 out of 10 - Good Moe Show

I recommend watching for fans of moe.

Why did Honoka had to be Kili in disguise? If not for that, brides and glasses insecure girl would have been the best.

Other than that Iris Freya is the second-best girl with her cute helpless airhead-ness. Iris is my waifu.

Now for actual review:

Unlimited Fafnir is an apologetic moe galore show. Cute girls are basically all it has to offer.

However, girls are indeed cute and moe. Here they are clearly on the adorable rather than cool side, I personally like that.

Story is somewhat dubious, it is not as cluttered as Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere, but still somewhat overdone.

Dragon antagonists use CGI. It is not of very high quality and even look unfinished on Basilisk. However, they appear rarely and not the reason to watch this show.

Most importantly are girls themselves. They are done in nice crisp high quality 2D and look very sexy. They have extra-large and extra cute eyes for added moe feel.

They are dressed in nice black and white dresses, a color scheme that I like a lot. They also wear stockings.

Unlike other primary moe shows, such as K-On! or Girls und Panzer, Unlimited Fafnir does not have intriguing plot or even a meaningful story. Showcasing cute girls is all it does.

Because of various shortcoming and somewhat sloppy quality, I will only give it 7 instead of 8. However, this show knows what it is doing and does it well.

The only reason to watch it if you like shows with cute girls.

On Utena Tenjou

I wrote a lot of articles on Revolutionary Girl Utena anime. I do like this show a lot. I think it is very deep and profound and will allow you understand a lot about life if you are smart enough.

However, I never wrote much about its main protagonist, that is Utena Tenjou herself. That is because I do not like her in particular. However, her character is much more nuanced to just hate her like I hate Orokudaki for example. Besides she is needed to drive this kind of story. She is needed to showcase and illustrate the point, Ikuhara trying to make with this anime.

Remember how many episodes start with little story about princess who was very sad, but then prince appeared and saved her. It ends with the following passage:

"So impressed she was by him, that she decided to become a prince herself. However, was it a such a good idea?"

The show asks you to question Utena's decisions and action. In fact, it even shows that these actions and decisions hardly lead to anything good. In fact, they lead to her own misery as well as misery of people around her.

However, show is subtle enough and I assume a lot of people not getting it right. So, I will write a complex analysis of Utena's action and her characters.

Allegory of Feminism

Utena is like an allegory of feminism and all the stupidity, suffering and confusion it caused in the world. It is all the more relevant to our modern times.

It is almost surprising how Ikuhara could manage to create such as show so way back in 1997, before fallout of the late feminism started to affect our modern life in 2010s. Ikuhara is a futurist genius.

However, this show does not intend to praise feminist boy-girl hero or even allow her to win in the end and show her living happily ever after.

In fact, it shows the extend of the disaster Utena causes. In the end she was betrayed and backstabbed by Anthy. She did not manage to find her happiness and lost it all in the end.

In fact, the show was and still is a warning to the future feminist. A warning that fell on deaf ears.

Utena's Character

Utena is this show's analogue of Kururigi Suzaku from Code Geass. However here we do not have any counterpart to Lelouch' so, spoiler alert, bad guys win.

Just like Suzaku she is a proper hero, rather than anti-hero or anti-villain. She is driven by desire to do good and save people in need from bad guys.

However, just like with Suzaku, the cause she is fighting for is wrong. So, her 'heroic' actions do not produce good outcomes.

That is what she does for the entire duration of the show. She finds someone she perceives as villain and then defeats him. She saves the damsel in distress, and they live happily thereafter like prince and princes. That is what it is on the surface.

Show begins with her fighting Saionji and 'saving' Anthy from him.

However, the reality is different. Sometimes show gives Utena and viewers hints that her perception of this situation is not correct.

Anthy did not want to be saved from Saionji. Utena's interference made both Saionji and Anthy unhappy.

Saionji actually loved Anthy and was very upset losing her. Utena ruined his happy relationship and went to great efforts in attempt to get his beloved Anthy back. He ended up in a lot of trouble because of that.

Alas a casual viewer will simply dismiss Saionji as villain and ignore his problems.

It is doubly so appalling for me as I personally is very sympathetic of both Saionji and Miki as I found their characters to be most similar to mine.

Just as Saionji was not happy, neither was Anthy.

Anthy did not want to be 'saved.'

Anthy having hard time agreeing with Utena's views and values. Anthy only agrees with Utena out of respect to her authority as her current groom.

When Touga won a duel and became engaged, she easily and happily refuted all Utena taught her. Touga even explained to Utena that Anthy only agreed with her because she was engaged with her, now that Anthy is engaged to him she will do and agree with what he says.

If you pay attention, you will notice how Anthy, subtly wishes to resist Utena but unable to do so. Anthy hesitates to agree with Utena, but happily agrees with everything Touga says.

The show rarely shows you, Anthy's own feelings and when it does, it does so in a subtle way.

Anthy, however, had much easier time with Saionji and Touga. She was actually happy to be liberated from Utena and hoped it will end fast and easy.

Utena's Path

However, Utena persisted in her 'heroic' quest of saving Anthy from bad guys, that eventually turned into just fighting everyone around her.

Miki, Juri, Nanami, Touga, then Wakaba, Tsuwabuki...

While some would simply dismiss it all to Akio's manipulations, that is not true.

All these people wanted Anthy because they thought she will make them happy. Out of Student Consul Duelists Miki wished to find happiness with Anthy. Utena denied him this possibility.

Juri's Touga's and Nanami's motivations were less pure and straightforward, but each or them needed Anthy to realize their own happiness. Utena denied them this happiness.

Sure, Black Rose duelists wished to kill her. However, they too thought that they can find happiness if they kill Anthy. They thought that she gets in the way of their relationship with someone they like. For example, Wakaba thought if she kills Anthy, Saionji will stop loving Anthy and will come back to her. Keiko though that she will have a chance with Touga if she kills Anthy whom Touga wants to have. Sanae thought that Akio will only love her if Anthy is no more. Black Rose duelists is their own topic, but their idea and their pattern are similar to each other.

Finale of the 'Hero'

In the end, Utena defeated all the 'bad guys' and met the 'End of the World' Akio Ohtori. Akio explained her that he and Anthy were grooming her for their own selfish ends.

However, Akio also said that he is satisfied with how unspoiled Utena turned out to be. Because of that Utena was fit to be his princess, so she can finally give on being a prince and just find her happiness with him.

That was a long path and a lot of people suffered for Utena to get here, but finally Utena get a chance of happiness with the prince of her past. An unconventional "happy 'bitter-sweet' end"?

No, Utena just throws it all away and now fights to save Anthy from him.

Akio explains to Utena that it is pointless to save Anthy as Anthy was playing the Rose Bride role for Akio's sake and on his instructions. However, Anthy actually wished to do this for Akio on her own free will. Because of that she did not need to be saved. Eventually Anthy even stabs Utena in the back to give victory to Akio.

Utena still does not learn and still attempts to save Anthy.

Conclusion

The show ends with Anthy leaving Akio in search for Utena, as the rest of their classmates all forgotten about her.

That might look like a victory to feminist cause, but it is hardly so.

The end result is that no one was happy with Utena's actions.

However, most are happy now that she is gone.

Some find happiness in love in this Utena-devoid world.

This raises the question of whether it was worth it.

I just hope that this feminist plague that befell on us since 2010s will eventually disappear like Utena did and we will come back to our normal life.

As an Epilogue I will just leave her two alternative images of Utena here. These are the other possibilities she could have chosen.

Final Note

And then a little bit for myself. I too wish to find happiness with obedient, docile and demure girl. Just l like Saionji with Anthy. So here are them as well.
