Overall rating 7.2/10 - Good show at a core, despite poor art, animation and some other flaws.

'Happy Cosumousu.'
This one is old and poorly drawn show, that nevertheless deserves the high score it got from me. Because every man wants to have a girl as good as Ren Ren Ren Nagusaran Ren Ru Ron Ran Ren Nakora. She is a perfect waifu material. Clearly creators of this show understand men and know what they are doing.
This show addresses all the same issues I mentioned in my Hand Maid May review.
Here we only have two girls to choose from and only Ren is good. However, she is really good. Ren is good, she is obedient, loyal, girly and sexy. I want her. She is good waifu material. She is very devoted to Takeya and will do everything for him. She is the kind of girl men want. If you are female and cannot get anyone interested in you, that is because you are not like Ren.
The whole idea of DearS, as a tribe from space, that was genetically engineered to be pleasing sexual partners only adds to the purpose of the show. Perhaps generic engineering can be used to achieve the same good results in creating perfect sexual partners as building cyberdolls.
So many harems anime are aired every season, yet they somehow fail to recreate Ren in their products. Therefore, this show still holds the high standard of quality waifu, despite its numerous flaws.
Flaws of the show are many, poor art, dubious plot and many annoying side characters. I did lower the show's score over these issues, with these issues addressed this show can have 8.5 or even 9.
However, none of this really matters. Ren is more than enough to make this show worth to watch.
Watch it for Ren, she is worth every second of your time.
Or maybe not, that way I can have her all to myself.
Also closing song has cute "happy cosumosu" line. It is very adorable.
